Rotary is a service organization with a motto of "Service Above Self".

This race helps fund:

• Literacy projects in Oconee County.  For example, funds are donated to buy books through Scholastic Books for area elementary schools.  In addition, we also have an annual book drive with other area Rotary Clubs to collect to books to give to organizations that are helping families that may not be able to purchase books for their children

• Our Community Grants Program. The following are just some of the charities supported over the years:

  • Fostering Faithfully Grace’s Closet

  • Oconee County Sheriff’s Youth Leadership Camp

  • OMH Cancer Institute

  • Our Daily Rest
